Piedmont Blues...

Piedmont blues is a traditional musical style originating from the Piedmont region of the United States – roughly including Georgia, the Carolinas, Virginia, DC, and Maryland. It’s grounded in syncopated fingerpicking mixed with lively singing which follows the guitar's melody lines. Of course, the singer would say that it’s the fingerpicked melody line that follows the vocals! (And the singer is always right, of course!) Either way, this traditional dance music is at the core of the Piedmonsters’ sound.
