Joy of the Jam

Our band came together through a shared passion for music and a deep appreciation for the rich traditions of Piedmont Blues. Founded by Mike Berman, who spent his musically formative years chasing Piedmont blues icons up and down the East Coast -- folks like John Cephas, Phil Wiggins, John Jackson, Paul Geremiah, and Roy Bookbinder -- our trio was born out of a desire to celebrate and innovate within this vibrant genre. With each member bringing their unique background and style to the mix, we have created a collaborative space where creativity thrives. This fusion of influences shapes our sound, allowing us to create music that feels both authentic and exciting. 

From the very beginning, our goal has been to connect with audiences through the joy of live performances and though creating an experience that invites everyone to join in the fun. We hope we can share this experience with you!
